Two injured, one seriously, in Bagley crash

Two were injured, one seriously, in a crash in Bagley yesterday morning.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, 57-year-old David Nelson, of Nelson, was northbound on Highway 92 in Bagley when he rear-ended a Jeep, then veered into the southbound lanes and struck an occupied, parked Ford SRW on the shoulder.

Nelson, according to the MSP, was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.

Sixty-nine-year-old Verlyn Strenge of Clearbrook was transported to the Fargo Hospital for life-threatening injuries, and his passenger, Merry Strenge, was transported to Sanford Bagley with non-life threatening injuries.

No other injuries were reported in this crash.

The Clearwater County Sheriff’s Office, Bagley Police Department and Bagley Fire assisted at the scene.
