BEMIDJI– Two Red Lake men were arrested yesterday morning and made their initial court appearances later that day on suspicion of robbery of a Red Lake restaurant.

According to a release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office, 30-year-old Courtney Barrett, Jr., and 25-year-old Robert Jourdain, Sr., allegedly entered the Snack Shack on the Red Lake reservation on May 1st, armed with a metal pipe and a firearm.

Barrett is accused of holding a metal pipe to an employee’s head while Jourdain allegedly brandished the firearm and stole money from the cash register and an employee’s purse.
