UPDATE: COVID-19 related cancellations in the area

The Bemidji Showchoir Concerts featuring “The Sound Exchange” scheduled for Friday and Saturday nights (3/13-14) have been cancelled. Ticket refunds will be available at a later time. Details will be available at the Bemidji Showchoir website HERE.

Frostfest in Walker scheduled for Saturday (3/14) has been cancelled. If you have purchased a ticket, you have the following options: You may donate your 2020 ticket purchase to help off-set the costs of the event and benefit local youth in conjunction with Deep Portage Learning Center. Donated 2020 ticket purchases will be provided with a discount code for 2021 Frostfest ticket purchases. You may credit your 2020 LLFF ticket purchase toward next years event or you may receive a full refund. Bemidji State University and Northwest Technical College, have all expanded their spring break, with classes tentatively returning March 23. Staff and faculty will return during the extra spring break week to plan for possible alternative modes of delivery for classes.

The Sanford Center and First City Liquor in Bemidji cancelled the wine tasting event, previously scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, March 14.

Bemidji Parks and Recreation’s Shamrock Shuffle event, previously scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, March 14, has been rescheduled for Sept. 26.

The “Melodies for Meals” event in Walker, previously scheduled for Sunday, March 22, has been cancelled.

The Watermark Art Center’s “Women Artists in Rural Communities” panel, scheduled for tomorrow, has been indefinitely postponed. The Watermark will remain open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 14.

The Northwoods Battered Women’s Shelter’s “Minnesota is Safer Together” event, previously scheduled for Tuesday, March 17, has been postponed, with a reschedule date yet to be determined.

Sports Cancellations: The remaining games of the State Girls Basketball tournament have been cancelled; All Section Boys Basketball Championships not yet played have been cancelled; The State Boys Basketball Tournament has been cancelled. The NSIC has suspended all sports events indefinitely, effectively shutting down all spring sports at Bemidji State University; The WCHA Hockey Tournament has been cancelled as have all NCAA Winter and Spring Championships, effectively ending the Bemidji State University Hockey season.
