A Walker man was killed in a two-vehicle crash near Laporte Monday around 7:30 a.m.
According to a report from the Minnesota State Patrol, 19-year-old Ryan Schlichting of Dilworth was northbound on Hubbard County Road 38 in Lakeport Township when he drifted across the center line, striking 36-year-old David Weimer of Walker in a Hyundai head on near County Road 39.
Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
Weimer was pronounced dead at the scene.
Schlichting was transported to Essentia Fargo for treatment of his non-life threatening injuries.
Hubbard County, Cass County, Lakeport First Responders and North Memorial EMS assisted at the scene.
