Walker woman facing charges, one pound of meth seized

A Walker woman is facing felony drug charges after a traffic stop in Crow Wing County.

According to Cass County Sheriff Tom Burch, the stop on Sept. 10 was part of an investigation into narcotics trafficking in conjunction with the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office.

One pound of suspected methamphetamine and $6,500 in cash were seized.

Authorities believe the drugs were bound for the Walker and Leech Lake Reservation areas.

The Paul Bunyan Drug Task Force and Baxter Police Department are assisting with the investigation.

Formal charges on the 42-year-old Walker woman are pending.
