The White Earth Band announced they will soon close on its purchase of the Ridgeway Court apartments in Bemidji.
According to a release, the White Earth Band “envisions the Ridgeway Court property as its future sober-living community,” as part of its mission to address homelessness and addiction through its Behavioral Health and Human Services Division.
The White Earth Band intends to allow current, lawful tenants to stay in their units for up to 180 days after closing, with plans to immediately secure the building to protect against extreme weather and trespassers.
The release says the White Earth Band is excited to embark on this next chapter and desires to build excellent working relationships with the City of Bemidji, Beltrami County, and other non-governmental organizations to address the Ridgeway Court apartments issues.
