White Earth man federally indicted for robbery, assault

A White Earth man was federally indicted last week on charges of robbery, assault with a dangerous weapon and assault resulting in serious bodily injury.

According to a release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office, 43-year-old Curtis Belland allegedly committed the crimes last December, which were described as robbing and assaulting a victim with a hammer.

The White Earth Police Department, Becker County Sheriff’s Office, the Minnesota BCA and the FBI Headwaters Safe Trails Task Force conducted the investigation.
