A White Earth man entered a guilty plea to the assault of a minor child.
Federal court documents say 30-year-old Edward Fairbanks was caring for a child when he intentionally shoved the child into a table, causing a serious head injury.
The child had a fractured skull and required a craniectomy to relieve pressure on their brain.
Fairbanks is scheduled to be sentenced this September on one count of assault with a serious injury.
The White Earth Police Department, the BCA, the Mahnomen County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI Headwaters Safe Trails Task Force conducted the investigation.
