Women’s United, an affinity group of the United Way of the Bemidji Area, announced a new project during their quarterly meeting yesterday morning.
Women’s United has been working with the Northwoods Battered Women’s Shelter to help them raise the resources needed for a new shelter, and presented a $4,800 check yesterday.
The new project is a mobile food pantry for the Bemidji Community Food Shelf, to help those with food insecurity and a lack of transportation.
