Young artists awarded after Watermark High School Show

During the month of April, artists from high schools and middle schools in the area were able to showcase their work at the Watermark Art Center in the Marley & Sandy Kaul Gallery and the Lakeview Gallery.

The exhibits drew more than 1,100 visitors, many of whom cast their ballots for the High School People’s Choice Award.

The Exhibit Committee selected winners from the High School Show based on eight categories.

The category winners for 2022 were: Frank Brun with 3D Art, Kate Shadrick with Mixed Media, Mary Merschman (winner of Drawing and the People’s Choice Award), Bethany Flansburg with Ceramics, Magnolia Mascia with Painting, Allie Lish with Photography, Seth Newby with Digital Art and Tanaya Stickney with Printmaking.

Photographs of the winning category art pieces can be viewed on the Watermark’s website or Facebook page.
