Zebra mussel-infested moss sold at pet supply stores across continent

Beltrami County Aquatic Invasive Species specialist Bruce Anspach is warning local aquarium owners to be aware of a zebra mussel-infested product sold nationally.

According to a release, zebra mussels have been attached to live Marimo moss balls, sold at pet and aquarium supply stores across the continent.

Aquarium owners are urged to destroy, not dump, aquarium products found to contain invasive zebra mussels.
