BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT

MONDAY, MAY 25

Assist, 10:52 p.m.

Assist another agency on the 1400 block of 30th St. NW. One arrested.

Disturbing the Peace, 9:50 p.m.

Intoxicated male yelling in the street on the 300 block of 3rd St. NW was told to quiet down.

Assault, 10:44 a.m.

Assault reported on the 800 block of Beltrami Ave. NW.

SUNDAY, MAY 24

Medical, 9:44 p.m.

Caller reported possible overdose on the 2500 block of Phoenix Loop NW. Adult male placed on a medical safety hold. Transported by EMS.

Public Relations, 3:17 p.m.

Mother requested officer speak to her 11-year-old son about talking to strangers online.

Assault, 2:40 p.m.

Officers responded to a report of an assault on the 1700 block of Birchmont Dr. NE. Male arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Theft, 10:54 a.m.

Red Trek Antelope mountain bike stolen from garage on the 1100 block of Birchmont Dr. NE.

DWI, 4:21 a.m.

Adult female arrested for 3rd degree DWI on the 600 block of Minnesota Ave. NW.

Assault, 4:21 a.m.

Officers responded to a domestic assault on 26th St. nW. One adult male arrested.

Fire, 2:33 a.m.

Fire on 100 block of Minnesota Ave. SW handled by Bemidji Fire.

Disturbing the Peace, 2:05 a.m.

Caller reported a party complaint on 30th St. and Irvine Ave. NW. Officers spoke to the renter, did not notice any noise emitting from a small campfire.

SATURDAY, MAY 23

Assist, 9:12 p.m.

Owner lost control of her cat on 15th St. and America Ave. NW and needed help getting it contained. Owner was able to get it back prior to officer’s arrival.

Suspicious, 4:47 p.m.

Caller reported people going into shed on the 500 block of 19th St. NW. Officer spoke to multiple juveniles and contacted their parents.

Disorderly Conduct, 2:38 p.m.

Report of disorderly conduct on the 2400 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Individual arrested.

Suspicious, 1:02 a.m.

Caller reported hearing people knocking at her windows on the 2700 block of Irvine Ave. NW. Officers checked the area and found nobody present.

FRIDAY, MAY 22

DWI, 8:30 p.m.

Officers responded to a medical where a male driver was passed out behind the wheel. One arrested for DUI on the 600 block of Washington Ave. S.

Property Damage, 6:55 p.m.

Caller reported several people smashing car windows in hotel parking lot. Unfounded, caller cited for falsely reporting a crime.

Security Check, 4:33 p.m.

Extra patrol for buses in High School parking lot overnight for graduation on 5/23/20.

Suspicious, 2:43 a.m.

Adult female arrested on an outstanding warrant on the 1000 block of 30th St. NW.

Disturbing the Peace, 2:23 a.m.

Officers made contact with several individuals under 21 drinking on the 900 block of 30th St. NW. Charges referred.

THURSDAY, MAY 21

Welfare Check, 6:53 p.m.

Officers responded to a call of individuals arguing on the 2500 block of Ridgeway Ave. NW. The individuals agreed to quiet down and the adult son agreed it might be time to start looking for his own place to live.

Public Relations, 3:19 p.m.

Minnesota Nurses Association is going to stand and picket near Paul and Babe on Tuesday 5/26/20 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., approximately 100 nurses.

Disorderly Conduct, 2:59 a.m.

Report of a trespassed male throwing rocks at a window on the 600 block of Patriot Dr. NW. Officers were unable to locate the male in the area.

Pursuit, 2:37 a.m.

Adult male arrested for multiple charges on the 500 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW after fleeing an officer in a motor vehicle.

BELTRAMI COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

MONDAY, MAY 25

Boat, 10:06 p.m.

Lost boater on Blackduck Lake guided to the west access by Blackduck PD.

Fire, 9:14 p.m.

Hay bale on fire on the 6100 block of Meadowview Rd. NW extinguished by Solway Fire Dept.

Medical, 9:10 p.m.

Deputies responded to a medical where a male fell down some stairs and was not breathing. This adult male ultimately determined to be deceased.

Assault, 8:53 p.m.

Report of domestic assault in Pennington. One arrested.

DWI, 7:11 p.m.

Male arrested for 2nd degree DWI on Division St. and Fiddle Ln. SW.

Boat, 4:48 p.m.

Boater called in for help after running out of gas. MN DNR CO responded and assisted.

Accident, 12:16 p.m.

Subject arrested for DWI after a crash on the 200 block of Spirit Ave. NW in Wilton.

Burglary, 10:18 a.m.

Burglary report on the 23400 block of Turtle River Lake Rd. NE.

Animal, 1:43 a.m.

Bear was in residential yard on the 5900 block of Mid-Valley Ln. NW and removed itself.

SUNDAY, MAY 24

Fire, 9:03 p.m.

Deputy responded to a fire complaint on the 3200 block of Royal Estates Rd. NE.

DWI, 4:13 p.m.

Traffic stop for trail violation on the 200 block of Spirit Ave. NW in Wilton. Driver arrested for DWI.

Boat, 9:40 a.m.

Report of a boat accident, hit and run, on Upper Red Lake. No injuries.

DWI, 12:11 a.m.

Traffic stop on Summit Ave. W in Blackduck. One adult female arrested for DWI, second juvenile female cited for minor consumption of alcohol.

SATURDAY, MAY 23

Weapons Offenses, 6:34 p.m.

Noise complaint of gunshots on the 1000 block of Maple Ridge Ct. NW. Culprits said they were done shooting for the day.

Found, 3:21 p.m.

Firearm and clothing recovered in the woods near Wild Rose Ln. and Sosua Rd. NW.

DWI, 5:05 a.m.

Report of a vehicle taken without permission on the 5600 block of Alps Ct. NW. Adult male arrested for 4th degree DWI.

DWI, 3:37 a.m.

One adult female arrested for DWI and no proof of insurance after suspicious vehicle was locate don Sunnyside Rd. and Roosevelt Rd. SE.

Traffic Stop, 1:20 a.m.

One arrested on the 2700 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW.

FRIDAY, MAY 22

Assault, 8:59 p.m.

Male party was stabbed by a 28-year-old male on Highway 89 in Puposky. Male is in custody for 2nd degree assault.

Animal, 8:31 p.m.

Report of a dog habitually barking in the city of Kelliher.

911, 5:15 p.m.

Deputies responded to a medical emergency, female was later pronounced deceased.

Animal, 4:00 p.m.

Bear observed doing bear things on Highway 2 and Paul Bunyan Dr. SE.

Weapons Offenses, 4:26 a.m.

Report of several gunshots at a mobile home park on the 5600 block of Alps Ct. NW. Unable to locate.

Assault, 3:10 a.m.

Domestic assault reported in Kelliher.

THURSDAY, MAY 21

Accident, 8:49 p.m.

Single vehicle accident reported on Strand Rd. and Boreal Rd. NW. Driver fled the scene.

Theft, 3:23 p.m.

Theft from package reported on the 8300 block of Altman Ct. NW.

Assault, 11:38 a.m.

Deputies responded to the report of a stolen vehicle.
