Donations accepted for the Mitten Tree

For the 20th consecutive season, Beltrami Electric Cooperative will collect donations of NEW or HOMEMADE mittens, gloves, hats and scarves, for distribution to students enrolled in the Head Start/ECFE programs throughout the cooperative’s service area. Through generous donations to the Mitten Tree program, hundreds of youths stay warm throughout the winter. Artists have long created images that "tell" a story. "Show Me a Story" is a collection of prints and clay pieces inspired by everyday events, folk tales, myths, and history. Items on display are intended to represent a moment in time. It is up to you, the observer, to envision how the story begins and ends. Search the trail at North Country Park to find the answers to your mammal trivia. Mammal facts will be hidden in the parks starting December 1. Clues will be removed from the trail on January 2.
