The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to from Friday, Nov. 22 through Sunday, Nov. 24.

BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT

sunday, nov. 24

Theft, 11:55 p.m.

Theft reported on the 900 block of Minnesota Avenue NW.

Disturbing the Peace, 9:37 p.m.

Neighbors calling about strange odor coming from a business on the 400 block of Roosevelt Road SE. Unable to reach owner of business. Referred to dayshift.

Disorderly Conduct, 8:39 p.m.

Officers responded to a call of disorderly conduct on the 400 block of Minnesota Avenue NW. An adult male was arrested for multiple violations.

Suspicious, 6:20 p.m.

Report of a small group of suspicious juveniles on 2nd Street and Pershing Avenue SE. Officers observed the juveniles but did not witness criminal activity.

Vehicle Complaints, 3:21 p.m.

Report of a slashed tire on the 1200 block of Beltrami Avenue NW.

DWI, 1:23 a.m.

Reckless vehicle complaint on the 4700 block of Bemidji Avenue N. Driver arrested for DWI.

Assault, 12:15 a.m.

9-1-1 hang-up. Male assaulted and strangled by significant other on the 1000 block of Washington Avenue S. Female arrested.

saturday, nov. 23

DWI, 8:21 p.m.

Reckless vehicle complaint on Highway 2 NW. Driver arrested for DWI.

Disorderly Conduct, 7:09 p.m.

Officers responded to a fight in progress on the 1000 block of Anne Street NW. Officers learned that two siblings were playing loudly while they waited for another party to leave work.

Assist, 10:45 a.m.

Assist trooper with traffic control during a warrant arrest on Paul Bunyan Drive S.

Assist, 1:35 a.m.

Officer assisted Minnesota State Patrol. An adult female was arrested.

DWI, 1:32 a.m.

Traffic stop. Adult male arrested for DWI on Washington Avenue S and Rako Street SW.

Disturbing the Peace, 12:44 a.m.

Party from one house spilled into neighbor’s yard on the 1600 block of America Avenue NW. Party was over upon Officer’s arrival. Renters advised.

911, 12:42 a.m.

Report of fight over jacket on the 300 block of Beltrami Avenue NW. Female left prior to arrival. Nothing physical occurred, only a verbal argument.

friday, nov. 22

Accident, 7:22 p.m.

Officer responded to a hit and run complaint on the 400 block of Paul Bunyan Drive NW.

Theft, 5:59 p.m.

Reported theft of keys on the 2800 block of Pine Ridge Avenue NW.

Disorderly Conduct, 5:19 p.m.

Caller reported several juveniles fighting on the 1200 block of Paul Bunyan Drive NW. Subjects left prior to officer arrival.

Accident, 2:54 p.m.

Report of a hit and run crash on the 900 block of 30th Street NW. No damage. Unknown license plate of suspect vehicle.

Weapons Offenses, 1:47 p.m.

Caller reporting subject walking on Sherman Drive NE possibly shooting a firearm. Officers and deputies searched the area but were unable to locate.

SWAT, 3:58 a.m.

SWAT Callout on the 2500 block of Phoenix Loop NW.

Weapons Offenses, 12:17 a.m.

Officers responded to a report of a robbery on the 2500 block of Phoenix Loop NW. Several individuals were arrested.

BELTRAMI COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

sunday, nov. 24

Harassment, 9:30 p.m.

Domestic assault/terroristic threats complaint on the 600 block of Patriot Drive NW. One male arrested.

Other, 12:29 p.m.

Deputy picked up an adult male from Upper Cass Frontage Road who had pending charges for domestic assault and property damage.

Welfare Check, 10:13 a.m.

Report from a concerned citizen of individuals fishing on Lake Movil near the bridge on Island View Drive NE. Area checked, no cause for concern.

SATURDAY, NOV. 23

Suspicious, 11:15 p.m.

Disturbance in middle of road, all three people involved were arrested on the 5600 block of Alps Court NW.

Theft, 10:32 p.m.

Report of motor vehicle theft on the 5600 block of Alps Court NW.

Traffic Stop, 6:27 p.m.

Traffic stop on Roosevelt Road SE. Two were arrested.

Fire, 2:27 p.m.

Deputies responded to a residential structure fire on the 18000 block of Island View Drive NE. Case will be investigated by BFD.

Suspicious, 4:21 a.m.

Deputy checked on a vehicle on Town Hall Road NW. Vehicle was checking on the squad car.

911, 12:05 a.m.

Multiple juveniles arrested on the 6100 block of Division Street W.

friday, nov. 22

Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 10:27 p.m.

Reckless vehicle complaint on Highway 2 SW. Male arrested for driving while impaired.

Suspicious, 9:55 p.m.

Deputy checked on an occupied vehicle. Was found to be a male listening to a book-on-tape.

Suspicious, 5:23 p.m.

A report of a suspicious vehicle on Grant Lake Lane SW in Wilton led to the arrest of an adult male for 4th Degree DWI and an adult female for outstanding warrants. The vehicle was removed by Ellis Towing.

Burglary, 11:43 a.m.

Burglary reported on the 66700 block of Highway 89 in Grygla.

SWAT, 3:58 a.m.

The Headwaters SWAT team was called upon to assist in executing a search warrant.
