The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to from Friday, Dec. 20, to Sunday, Dec. 22.
BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT
SUNDAY, DEC. 22
Assault, 9:08 p.m.
Terroristic threats at the Beltrami County Jail
Assist, 7:26 p.m.
Officers responded to a report of kids stuck in their bedroom. Officers were able to get the kids out of the bedroom.
Weapons Offenses, 1:24 p.m.
Caller reported one gunshot on the 1000 block of Washington Avenue S. Officers were not able to locate any suspects.
SATURDAY, DEC. 21
Traffic Stop, 10:26 p.m.
Traffic stop on the 2000 block of Paul Bunyan Drive NW. Multiple individuals taken into custody by Border Patrol.
Animal, 8:13 a.m.
Caller reported a dead duck in the road by 14th Street and Park Avenue NW. Officer arrived, duck was gone prior to arrival.
FRIDAY, DEC. 20
DWI, 10:28 p.m.
Officer located a vehicle in the ditch at 15th Street and Jefferson Avenue SW. Adult male driver was arrested for a DUI.
DWI, 8:10 p.m.
Officer responded to the report of a suspicious vehicle on the 1200 block of Paul Bunyan Drive. A driver was arrested for multiple violations.
Trespass, 5:03 p.m.
Trespass complaint on the 600 block of 3rd Street NW. An adult male was arrested for trespassing and giving Officers a false name.
Fire, 7:44 a.m.
Officers assisted Bemidji Fire with a bus on fire report on the 1600 block of 5th Street NE. No injuries reported.
BELTRAMI COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
SUNDAY, DEC. 22
Disorderly Conduct, 7:10 p.m.
An adult male was arrested on the 3700 block of Cardinal Road NW.
Suspicious, 4:52 a.m.
Deputy checked on a vehicle stopped in the roadway on Stone Lake Road NW in Wilton. Driver arrested for DWI, passenger arrested for drug possession.
Agency Assist, 12:53 a.m.
Assault reported at The Pond in Blackduck.
SATURDAY, DEC. 23
DWI, 1:24 p.m.
Traffic stop on 15th Street and Park Avenue NW. An adult female was arrested for DWI and possession of a controlled substance. An adult male was arrested for a probation violation.
Assault, 10:58 a.m.
Report of domestic assault. One adult male was arrested for domestic assault by strangulation.
Assist, 9:41 a.m.
Deputies assisted Minnesota State Patrol with a traffic stop involving a child not in a car seat.
FRIDAY, DEC. 20
Agency Assist, 8:10 p.m.
Deputies arrested one female for a warrant while assisting the Bemidji Police Department at the 1200 block of Paul Bunyan Drive NW.
DWI, 5:56 p.m.
Vehicle in the ditch on Roosevelt Road and Adelia Drive SE. Driver arrested for DWI.
Assist, 12:30 p.m.
Two vehicle accident, bus vs. car. Deputies assisted State Patrol with accident on Highway 2 and Adams Avenue NW. One adult female deceased.
Suspicious, 1:46 a.m.
Deputy checked on suspicious vehicle on the 9700 block of Cardinal Road NW. A driver was arrested on outstanding warrants.
Disorderly Conduct, 1:17 a.m.
Disorderly male on Porcupine Road SE in Cass Lake. He was arrested.
