The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to on Thursday, Jan. 16.

BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT

Other, 9:30 p.m.

Officer responded to a report of false IDs on the 200 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. IDs were seized.

Suspicious, 8:31 a.m.

Suspicious package at the Post Office. Item was junk and discarded in the trash.

Theft, 8:00 a.m.

Theft of a package reported at the 300 block of Irvine Ave. NW.

Fraud, 5:28 a.m.

Scam was reported on the 1200 block of 30th St. NW.

Suspicious, 4:04 a.m.

An officer observed two suspicious males walking around businesses on 23rd St. NE. The males were stopped and identified. One male was arrested for a warrant.

911, 1:25 a.m.

Officers investigated a 911 open line on the 600 block of 27th St. NW. Male was located and reporting that he was hiding from people chasing him. Male refused any assistance and was directed to be on his way.

BELTRAMI COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

Fire, 8:53 p.m.

Faulty furnace creating smoke in a residence on the 600 block of Adams Ave. SW. Call was handled by the Bemidji Fire Department.

Warrant, 4:42 p.m.

Warrant arrest on the 100 block of 1st St. NW in Cass Lake.

Fraud, 4:36 p.m.

Possible scam reported on the 2300 block of Royal Estates Rd. NE.

Fire, 3:43 a.m.

Report of a residential structure fire on the 24900 block of Boreal Rd. NW in Puposky. Mobile home was destroyed. Minor injuries to renter.
