The new residents of the city of Bemidji as part of the Phase III Annexation Agreement with Northern Township are now a part of Ward 3.
The agreement was approved by the state a couple weeks earlier than expected.
Much of the newly annexed area extends past Anne Street to Lakewood Drive.
Ward 3’s council position is up for election this year, with the Boys and Girls Club site as the polling place.
Ron Johnson is the current Ward 3 council member.
