DFL Caucus next week

Minnesota’s precinct caucuses begin next week, and while there will not be a straw poll like in Iowa, these caucuses will, at least for the Democratic-Farmer-Labor party, help local Democrats get connected with their party.

According to a release from DFL Chair Ken Martin, precinct caucuses this year are designed to select delegates to future party conventions. where they will be able to vote on which Democratic candidate for president the DFL endorses, among other political seats.

The DFL precinct caucuses will be held next Tuesday, Feb. 25, at 7 p.m.

To find a local DFL caucus location, visit caucus.dfl.org and enter your home address.

According to the Minnesota GOP website, the only caucuses for Republicans will be for state senate and house district endorsing in districts well outside of this area.

The “Super Tuesday” primary will be held March 3.
