Food services for Bemidji Area Schools

Superintendent of Bemidji Area Schools says opt-in forms for food service are available for pickup at all area schools, or available by email if they call the school their child attends.

Bemidji Area Schools are scheduled to close Wednesday, March 18, as schools across the state prepare for distance learning, which could mean schools closing their doors for longer than the mandated eight days of closure starting Wednesday until March 27.

The United Way of the Bemidji Area’s “Backpack Buddies,” a program that sends home food for kids on free and reduced lunch, could use donations.

Only school staff are allowed to package the food for children, but monetary donations for the United Way and the Bemidji Community Food Shelf are strongly encouraged.
