STATE UPDATES
As of Monday, ten have died from complications of COVID-19, according to the Minnesota Department of Health.
This morning, MDH confirmed that 576 people have tested positive, 73 more than yesterday.

Of these cases, 260 patients have recovered and no longer need to be isolated.
Ninety-two have required hospitalization since the first cases were reported in Minnesota, and 56 remain hospitalized, with 24 in intensive care.
Minnesota has 235 intensive care unit beds in the state.
The Minnesota Department of Health and Governor Tim Walz will hold a press conference this afternoon at 2 p.m.
LOCAL UPDATES
Itasca County has confirmed their first COVID-19 patient over the weekend. According to a release, the patient is in their 60s, and the Minnesota Department of Health confirmed it Sunday.
Beltrami County now has a reported three cases, and Clearwater County has one. Cass County still has one confirmed positive case of COVID-19.
The Northwest Minnesota Foundation is now accepting grant applications for their Emergency Disaster Recovery Fund, in response to the needs of communities amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Grant proposals up to $5,000 will be considered on an ongoing basis, and eligible applicants must be a 501(c)3 nonprofit, a tribal entity or a government agency. Bemidji Parks and Recreation is strongly encouraging the public to practice safe social distancing at city parks. They also recommend the use of park facilities and playgrounds be kept to a minimum. Restroom and water fountain facilities are still winterized and will not be available for public use for the foreseeable future.
Beltrami County is still seeking donations of personal protective equipment (PPE) for first responders and public health officials. Donations such as N95 masks, surgical masks, gloves, gowns and “booties” are being sought. To organize a drop off, call Beltrami County Records Division at 333-4187.
The Alerus Center in Grand Forks will remain closed to the public, with all events cancelled, until April 30.
