The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to from Friday, April 3, to Sunday, April 5.

BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT

SUNDAY, APRIL 5

Disturbing the Peace, 9:51 p.m.

Officerse responded to a noise complaint on the 1200 block of Minnesota Ave. NW. Officers located the source of the noise, a house party, and dispersed the party.

Assist, 6:35 p.m.

Property manager uncooperative to replace firebox missing from an apartment building on the 2900 block of Ridgeway Ave. NW.

Family Crimes, 6:15 p.m.

Mother arrested for child endangerment during a welfare check on the 2900 block of Ridgeway Ave. NW.

Animal, 5:49 p.m.

Officers took a call regarding a fox in a backyard on the 1100 block of Roosevelt Rd. SE. Officers were advised the fox was not dangerous or a hazard, just scaring off birds. Officers advised caller on several ways to get rid of the fox.

Security Check, 4:53 p.m.

Extra patrol request at Wolfe (Super 8 Annex), caretaker reporting drug and alcohol use inside as well as a positive COVID-19 resident. Caller would like occasional drive through the lot.

Assault, 3:13 p.m.

Domestic assault reported on America Ave. NW. Charges forwarded to City Attorney for domestic assault.

Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 2:46 p.m.

An individual reported a gray, rusty truck racing up and down 4th St. SE at all times of the day. Extra traffic patrol was requested.

Fire, 5:13 a.m.

Citation issued on the 1600 block of Bixby Ave. NE for negligent fire.

SATURDAY, APRIL 4

Family Crimes, 11:13 p.m.

Officers responded to a report of child abuse on Phoenix Loop NW. One arrested.

Theft, 6:26 p.m.

Officers responded to a report of a fleeing shoplifter on the 2000 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. One arrested.

Drugs, 6:05 p.m.

Officer took a report of possible drug activity on the 2500 block of Phoenix Loop NW.

Welfare Check, 5:12 p.m.

Questions about social distancing at a basketball court on the 1100 block of Mississippi Ave. NW.

Suspicious, 3:42 p.m.

Officer checked on a suspicious activity on the 1100 block of 12th St. NW.

Accident, 11:54 a.m.

Pedestrian struck by vehicle on the 2000 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW.

911, 11:48 a.m.

Officer spoke with two individuals about their relationship and helped advise them that they need to be adults and get along or split up. The two stopped fighting and returned into their home with no further issues for the rest of the day. The end.

Burglary, 6:10 a.m.

Possible burglary of locked storage room on the 2900 block of Ridgeway Ave. NW.

Weapons Offenses, 12:08 a.m.

Report of a gunshot on the 1200 block of Bemidji Ave. N. Officers searched the area and were unable to locate any casings.

FRIDAY, APRIL 3

Burglary, 8:14 p.m.

Storage unit break-in reported on the 400 block of Pioneer St. SE.

Civil, 4:48 p.m.

Caller reported leaving her inoperable vehicle at an apartment building for several months and now it was gone. Vehicle was determined to have been privately towed by Southside Towing. Caller was advised.

Accident, 12:36 p.m.

An individual was arrested for felon in possession and DWI refusal on the 2000 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW.

BELTRAMI COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

SUNDAY, APRIL 5

Animal, 8:36 p.m.

Animal cruelty investigation on the 5100 block of Allens Bay Dr. SE.

Assault, 3:38 p.m.

Child reportedly assaulted by female, assault charges forwarded to County Attorney’s Office.

Traffic Stop, 2:20 a.m.

Traffic stop on Plantagenet Rd. and Washington Ave. S. Driver arrested for DWI.

Assault, 1:06 a.m.

Deputies responded to an address on Jackpine Rd. NW for a removal. One female caller ultimately arrested for domestic assault.

Weapons Offenses, 12:40 a.m.

Report of possible drive by shooting on the 5100 block of Kappes Ln. SE. Deputies located bullet holes in stop sign.

SATURDAY, APRIL 4

Assist, 9:26 p.m.

Assisted Hubbard County with a pursuit that ended in Cass Lake. A 27-year-old man was arrested by Hubbard County for fleeing in a motor vehicle.

Public Relations, 4:43 p.m.

Delivered food to homeless at Super 8 Motel.

Assist, 12:53 p.m.

Deputies assisted the Bagley Police department with a search warrant.

FRIDAY, APRIL 3

Theft, 1:48 p.m.

Report of stolen building materials at a rental property on the 9900 block of Pony Lake Rd. NW.

Assault, 3:39 a.m.

Domestic violence in Blackduck. One subject taken to jail.
