The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to from Thursday, April 30, to Sunday, May 3.

BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT

SUNDAY, MAY 3

Assault, 10:05 p.m.

Officers responded to a report of an assault on the 500 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW.

Welfare Check, 10:01 p.m.

Caller requested a welfare check on sister believing strange circumstances. Contact was made with sister who reported that she was fine and believed the caller was intoxicated.

Assault, 9:42 p.m.

Assault report on the 800 block of America Ave. NW referred for prosecution.

Violations/Court Orders, 8:36 p.m.

Female arrested for DANCO violation and stalking on the 600 block of Patriot Dr. NW.

Theft, 6:14 p.m.

Report of a theft on the 2300 block of Bemidji Ave. N. One arrested.

Drugs, 6:11 p.m.

Officer investigated a possible drug transaction at a local business on the 2000 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Two arrested.

Trespass, 3:49 p.m.

One arrested for trespass on the 1000 block of 23rd St. NW.

Traffic Stop, 3:55 a.m.

Traffic stop on the 1200 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Adult female arrested on an outstanding warrant.

SATURDAY, MAY 2

DWI, 9:07 p.m.

Traffic stop on Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Driver arrested for DWI.

Disorderly Conduct, 6:48 p.m.

Individual placed under arrest for public nuisance on the 2600 block of Delton Ave. NW.

Suspicious, 5:57 p.m.

Suspicious male shadow boxing and flailing his arms and legs around a parking lot of a local business on the 1400 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW with no shirt on. Male was found to be the male recently removed from a residence, who was impaired. Male was found not too close to anyone, but was concerning to the general public because of the potential to be an issue.

Disorderly Conduct, 5:24 p.m.

Officer removed a disorderly male from an apartment building on the 2800 block of Pine Ridge Ave. NW. The male was impaired and banging on doors. He left without further incident.

Disorderly Conduct, 12:23 p.m.

Complaint regarding protest on 3rd St. and Bemidji Ave. N. No violations observed, no contact made. Closed.

Disorderly Conduct, 1:31 a.m.

Subject on a rooftop observed to drop/throw a glass bottle on the 200 block of 3rd St. NW. Subject was tracked to a rooftop apartment window and directed to clean up the glass.

DWI, 12:46 a.m.

Suspicious vehicle on the 1200 block of Beltrami Ave. and 14th St. NW. Driver arrested for DUI.

FRIDAY, MAy 1

Disturbing the Peace, 11:45 p.m.

Officers heard and located a loud party on the 200 block of 13th St. NE. Officer spoke with renters and they were advised.

Disturbing the Peace, 11:28 p.m.

Officers heard and located a loud party on the 1600 block of Calihan Ave. NE. Officer spoke with renters and they were advised.

Traffic Stop, 11:29 p.m.

Traffic stop on 28th St. and Park Ave. NW. Driver cited for no insurance. Passenger arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Violations/Court Orders, 8:43 p.m.

Officers responded to a report of disorderly conduct on the 600 block of Patriot Dr. NW. One arrested for DANCO violation.

Welfare Check, 8:00 p.m.

Two juveniles warned for trespassing on railroad property near the Irvine Bridge and directed to return home. Guardians were advised of the incident for discipline.

thursday, april 30

DWI, 11:18 p.m.

Adult female arrested for DWI on the 700 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW.

Disturbing the Peace, 11:01 p.m.

Loud party complaint on the 800 block of 21st St. NW. Officer spoke with individuals who stated they would keep the noise down.

Disturbing the Peace, 10:56 p.m.

Officers responded to a small party on the 1600 block of Birch Ln. NE. The parties were advised to separate and disperse.

Disturbing the Peace, 10:42 p.m.

Loud music complaint on 17th St. and Bixby Ave. NE. Officer was unable to hear loud music. Small group of individuals sitting by a campfire.

Assault, 8:12 p.m.

Male arrested for domestic assault on the 500 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW.

DWI, 6:32 p.m.

Report of a suspicious vehicle on the 2900 block of Ridgeway Ave. NW. Driver arrested for DWI.

Theft, 11:26 a.m.

Stolen license plate reported on the 2800 block of Pine Ridge Ave. NW.

Disorderly Conduct, 11:02 a.m.

Request to remove subjects squatting in the woods on the 100 block of Inglewood St. NW. They agreed to move along.

BELTRAMI COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

SUNDAY, MAY 3

Assist, 11:15 p.m.

Hubbard County Sheriff’s Office had short pursuit on Highway 2 and Woodberry Dr. SE. Assisted with tow, no action taken by BCSO.

Weapons Offenses, 6:40 p.m.

Reports of shots fired on the 4600 block of Allens Bay Dr. SE in Cass Lake. Call handled by Leech Lake Tribal Police Department prior to deputy’s arrival.

DWI, 4:52 p.m.

One vehicle accident on Grange Rd. and Cardinal Rd. NW. One adult male processed for DWI by Minnesota State Patrol.

Disturbing the Peace, 12:09 p.m.

Complainant advised that she heard shots last night on the 19900 block of Lake Julia Dr. NW.

Theft, 9:33 a.m.

Items stolen from complainant’s property on the 700 block of Chief Boyd Dr. NE.

Fire, 6:58 a.m.

Reported on the 4400 block of Northwood Rd. NW in Solway.

Weapons Offenses, 12:34 a.m.

Deputies responded to the report of an adult male who had been shot and a residential structure fire whereupon a dead body was located. The incident is under investigation.

SATURDAY, MAY 2

Disorderly Conduct, 10:59 p.m.

Deputies removed an adult male from a residence on the 800 block of Town Hall Rd. NW.

Agency Assist, 9:00 p.m.

Assist Blackduck Police Department in domestic investigation. One arrested for DWI.

Theft, 7:00 p.m.

Theft of a bike from an open garage on the 600 block of Archery Rd. NW.

Fire, 5:10 p.m.

Fire reported on the 4500 block of Grant Valley Rd. NW.

Other, 11:19 a.m.

Deputies answered questions regarding transporting children in classic cars on the 200 block of Melby Ln. SW in Wilton.

Burglary, 11:18 a.m.

Reported on the 30500 block of Star Island SE in Cass Lake.

Suspicious, 12:56 a.m.

Male arrested for drug DWI, 5th degree controlled substances and driving after cancellation-inimical to public safety on the 100 block of Convenience Ln. SW.

Traffic Stop, 12:19 a.m.

Traffic stop on Northern Cedar Ave. and 15th St. NW. Driver arrested for DWI.

FRIDAY, MAy 1

Weapons Offenses, 8:36 p.m.

Report of gun shots that were determined to be from target practice on the 6100 block of Division St. W.

Accident, 5:54 p.m.

One vehicle accident on Mission Rd. and plantation Rd. SE in Cass Lake. Driver arrested for criminal vehicular operation.

Disturbing the Peace, 12:33 a.m.

Noise complaint on the 5600 block of Alps Ct. NW. Juvenile runaway located, another cited for possession of small amount of marijuana.

thursday, april 30

Fire, 9:01 p.m.

Fire reported on the 3300 block of Becida Rd. SW.

Suspicious, 8:50 p.m.

Male party arrested for fleeing on foot, DOC fugitive, 5th degree controlled substance on Braun Ln. and Division St. W.

Suspicious, 1:21 a.m.

Assist Leech Lake Tribal Police Department with a traffic stop on Mission Rd. and Indian Rd. 1437 SE in Cass Lake. Male party arrested for DWI, fleeing, and driving after revocation by LLTPD.
