Peterson named new Executive Director of Visit Bemidji

BEMIDJI– The Visit Bemidji Board of Directors has named a new Executive Director.

Josh Peterson, a 20-year veteran of broadcast journalism, accepted the position last week.

Former Visit Bemidji Executive Director Susan Goudge retired at the end of May.

Peterson is a Bemidji State and U of M alumnus, has worked for Lakeland News, WCCO Television in the Twin Cities, is the Bemidji Jaycees’ 85th and 87th President and has chaired the First City of Lights celebration for the past four years.

Peterson says his experience in communications, volunteering and fundraising will bring new concepts to the table.

He will assume the position officially on Monday, July 29.
