The City of Bemidji is seeking election judges to help with the primary election on August 11 and the general election on November 3.
Judges can earn at least $10.50 an hour, and must be a U.S. Citizen, a Minnesota resident, eligible to vote and able to speak and write in English.
A two hour mandatory training is required, and election judges set up the polling place, operate voting equipment, direct voters to the correct line, and register people to vote.

Secretary of State Steve Simon recently issued a call for younger volunteers to help with this year’s election, as many election judges in the past tend to be older Americans who are more susceptible to the dangers of COVID-19.
