Ponsford man facing federal assault charges

A Ponsford man is facing federal charges of robbery and assault on the White Earth Indian Reservation.

According to a release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office, 22-year-old Wesley Warren made his first appearance yesterday before the Magistrate Judge in Bemidji.

According to the allegations, on June 3, Warren robbed and assaulted a victim with a cinder block, resulting in serious bodily injury to the victim.

Warren is facing four charges, including assault with a dangerous weapon and assault with intent to commit murder.
