BEMIDJI– After over six months since the crime, the Bemidji man accused of committing two homicides is scheduled to make his first court appearance later this morning.

Forty-five-year-old Darren Lloyd Stebe has been in Department of Corrections custody since early February.

The alleged homicides of the two men, 41-year-old Jason McDonough of Superior and 39-year-old Adam Thorpe of Maple Grove, were determined to have happened around the end of January.

Medical examiners determined the two died of homicidal violence and their remains were found in a burn pit at a residence off of Highway 89, where Stebe and his girlfriend, 31-year-old Kristi Trisco, were living at the time.

Trisco and another, 54-year-old Daniel Linde of Cass Lake, were charged with aiding an offender after the fact, and bail for each of them was set at $500,000.

Linde’s next court appearance is scheduled for this Monday, and will be a bail hearing. All three are currently in custody
