The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to from Thursday, Aug. 13, to Sunday, Aug. 16.

BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT

SUNDAY, AUG. 16

Burglary, 11:41 p.m.

Officers took a report of a burglary on the 3900 block of Supreme Ct. NW. Some of the property was recovered.

Disorderly Conduct, 9:06 p.m.

Officers responded to a call of three individuals yelling in the street on the 300 block of 24th St. NW. The individuals were located and told to stop.

Theft, 8:35 p.m.

Report of a stolen vehicle on the 2100 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Attempt-to-locate issued for vehicle.

Suspicious, 5:13 p.m.

Reporting party found items in a shed suggesting someone may have been sleeping inside on the 500 block of 2nd St. SE. Requested extra patrols.

Burglary, 11:21 a.m.

Reported on the 500 block of 4th St. NW.

Disorderly Conduct, 4:34 a.m.

Disorderly conduct complaint on the 1200 block of 30th St. NW. Three subjects warned for being obnoxious.

SATURDAY, AUG. 15

DWI, 9:25 p.m.

Officers responded to a report of an impaired driver on the 1000 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. S. Adult male arrested for DUI.

Assault, 7:15 p.m.

Officers responded to a report of a domestic assault on Patriot Dr. NW. Adult male arrested.

Medical, 7:07 p.m.

Possible heroin overdose reported on the 300 block of Park Ave. NW. Subject transported to Sanford ER.

Fire, 2:48 p.m.

Assist fire department with small kitchen fire on the 700 block of 15th St. NW.

Property Damage, 11:13 a.m.

Vehicle struck personal property on the 1300 block of Bemidji Ave. N. Garage damaged along with telephone box.

FRIDAY, AUG. 14

Property Damage, 10:17 a.m.

Male arrested for damaging several law enforcement vehicles on the 600 block of Minnesota Ave. NW.

911, 3:18 a.m.

Officer spoke with individual about property blowing into his yard on the 1000 block of Washington Ave. S.

THURSDAY, AUG. 13

Welfare Check, 9:21 a.m.

Officer saw an individual walking through yards and was concerned the individual might be up to some mischief. The individual’s well known to officers. After begging and pleading with the individual to stop swearing and yelling at the officer, the officer had no choice but to take his hurt feelings and drive away. As many times before, the officer was left astounded and heart stricken with the language that was spewed his way. He longs to mend the fractured relationship with the individual.

Assault, 12:12 a.m.

Officers responded to an assault on the 800 block of Mississippi Ave. NW. A suspect was arrested for assault.

BELTRAMI COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

SUNDAY, AUG. 16

Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 7:34 p.m.

One arrested on Ose Rd. NW and Highway 89 NW in Grygla.

Suspicious, 3:29 a.m.

Deputy checked on a male sleeping on the ground outside The Pond in Blackduck.

SATURDAY, AUG. 15

Theft, 10:26 a.m.

Theft of a political flag reported on the 1600 block of Scenic Highway NE in Pennington.

DWI, 2:12 a.m.

Male arrested for third degree DWI on Scenic Highway and Marnot Rd. NE.

FRIDAY, AUG. 14

Agency Assist, 10:17 a.m.

Male arrested after damaging several parked squad cars on the 600 block of Minnesota Ave. NW.

Fire, 12:16 a.m.

House struck by lightning on the 2700 block of Peninsula Ct. NE, blew breakers in the house.

THURSDAY, AUG. 13

Hazards (dangerous), 11:32 p.m.

Tree on a power line on the 3000 block of Whiting Rd. NW. Beltrami Electric advised.

Suspicious, 10:53 p.m.

Loud pounding on the door on the 500 block of Swenson Rd. NE, found to be wind from storm.

Traffic Stop, 9:19 p.m.

In a hurry to get home, driver passed squad which was driving at speed limit on Long Lake Dr. and Turtle River Lake Rd. NE. Written warning for speeding.

Warrant, 7:42 p.m.

Adult male arrested for Beltrami County warrant in Hubbard County. Beltrami Deputy transported to jail.

Warrant, 5:09 p.m.

Arrested one on Highway 2 and Division St. W.

Accident, 5:09 p.m.

Accident on Cardinal Rd. and Grange Rd. NW in Eckles. One arrested.
