MN State Representative Removed from Committees

ST. PAUL- Minnesota State Representative Matt Grossell from Clearbrook is being removed from the Minnesota House Public Safety and Judiciary Committees.

Police say Grossell scuffled with a security guard at a bar in May and was later arrested for trespassing at Regions Hospital, where he had been cleared after an evaluation but then refused to leave.

House Speaker Melissa Hortman says what concerns her most is Grossell allegedly told an officer at police headquarters that he’s a state representative. Hortman says such conduct is an abuse of the office Grossell holds.
