Redby man faces charges for Sunday’s daytime burglary

A Redby man made his first appearance on charges related to Sunday’s daytime burglary.

According to the criminal complaint, 22-year-old Stanley Donnell is facing a first degree burglary charge and a second degree assault charge.

The complaint says that on Sunday afternoon, Bemidji Police officers responded to the report of a male in an alley with a long gun, and later learned that the suspect  had burglarized a residence and had stolen two firearms.

The complainant reported that the male fired a shot into the ground and threatened the complainant.

Donnell was located several hours later, and was identified by surveillance footage from the homeowner.

Donnell will make his next court appearance next week.

Unconditional bail was set at $75,000, and conditional bail was set at $25,000.
