Permits are available for the firearms deer Youth Hunt at Lake Bemidji State Park. The hunt is open to youth ages 12 to 15 and limited to 20 participants.
Hunt dates are October 16-18. Each youth hunter must have completed the Firearms Safety Certificate and possess a valid deer license. An adult mentor must accompany the youth at all times and may not carry a firearm. The hunt is either-sex with a bag limit of two.
Participants must call the park office at 218 308-2300 to register and schedule a time to pick up their orientation packets prior to the hunt.
