Motorcyclist injured in Cass County crash

A motorcyclist was injured by a drunk driver in a Cass County crash yesterday afternoon.

According to the state patrol, 50-year-old Timothy Huseby of Breezy Point was southbound on Highway 84 near Pike Point Drive on a Harley Davidson when he attempted to pass a southbound Rav 4, which was attempting to make a U-turn.

The Rav-4 driver, 44-year-old Johnathan Moran of Hammond, Indiana was not injured but is believed to have been under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.

Huseby was treated for his non-life threatening injuries at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Brainerd. Huseby was wearing a helmet.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office and Minnesota DNR assisted at the scene.
