Situation Update for Tuesday, Oct. 27

The Minnesota Department of Health is reporting 2,167 confirmed new cases and 11 new probable cases, bringing the state’s case counts to 137,146 confirmed cases and 390 probable cases.

Fifteen new deaths were reported today, bringing the state’s death toll to 2,368.

Of those deaths, 1,653 were residents of long-term care or assisted living facilities. Of those cases, 13,759 were health care workers.

Over 2.698 million PCR tests and 26,207 antigen tests have been completed so far, with almost 15,000 PCR test and 50 antigen tests completed yesterday.

To date, 122,100 of the state’s COVID cases have been released from isolation.

Two new COVID deaths were reported in north-central Minnesota today, a Hubbard County resident in their late 80s, and a Koochiching County resident in their late 70s.

Thirteen new cases were reported in Beltrami County today, bringing the county’s total to 913 confirmed cases, one probable case and seven deaths.

MDH reported 11 new cases in Cass County, bringing their total to 390 cases and five deaths; 14 new cases in Hubbard County, total of 410 cases and three deaths; 25 new cases in Itasca County, total of 763 and 17 deaths; two new cases in Koochiching County, total of 172 cases and five deaths; one new case in Mahnomen County, total of 117 cases and two deaths; and 25 new cases in Roseau County, total of 290 cases.
