The Minnesota Department of Health is reporting 4,900 new COVID-19 cases today, with 4,806 confirmed and 94 probable, bringing the state’s case total to 194,570.
Fifty-six COVID deaths were reported today, bringing the state’s death toll to 2,754. Thirty-eight of the newly reported deaths were residents of long-term care or assisted living facilities.
Of those deaths, 1,898 were residents of long-term care or assisted living facilities. Of those cases, 16,636 were health care workers.
Laboratory testing data was not immediately available this morning, but this article will be updated to reflect the latest numbers.
To date, 157,164 of the state’s COVID patients have been released from isolation.
Forty-eight new cases were recorded for Beltrami County today, bringing the county’s case total to 1,330 confirmed cases, one probable case and 13 deaths.
Beltrami County Public Health’s office is closed today, in observance of Veterans Day, but Megan Heuer reported there were 250 active cases of COVID in the county as of this morning.
Hubbard County’s 11th COVID death was reported today, a resident in their late 70s.
In Cass County, 34 new COVID cases, bringing their total to 752 confirmed cases, two probable cases and seven deaths; eight new cases reported in Clearwater County, for a total of 228 confirmed cases and two deaths; and 25 new cases in Hubbard County, for a total of 676 confirmed cases and one probable case.
Fifty-seven new cases were reported in Itasca County, for a total of 1,164 confirmed cases and 18 deaths; eight new cases in Koochiching County, for a total of 228 confirmed cases, one probable case and five deaths; two new cases in Mahnomen County, for a total of 161 confirmed cases and three deaths; and 16 new cases in Roseau County, for a total of 520 confirmed cases, 85 probable cases and one death.
