City liquor license holders to receive relief

The Bemidji City Council passed a measure during their meeting last week that refunds or reduces the liquor license renewals of restaurants and bars affected by the latest COVID-19 shutdown.

According to a notice in the city’s weekly newsletter, full on-sale intoxicating liquor license holders will receive a relief of almost $2,000, and beer/wine liquor licenses will receive a refund of about $440.

The checks to license holders will be sent on Dec. 22.
