Tribal Council gets vaccinated for COVID-19 at Red Lake IHS

The first COVID-19 vaccines were administered at Red Lake IHS yesterday, and members of the tribal council were the first vaccinated.

According to a social media announcement, five members of the council, including Chairman Darrel Seki, Senior; Secretary Sam Strong, Treasurer Annette Strong and district representatives Allen Pemberton and Glenda Martin, volunteered to receive the vaccine.

Vaccinations for IHS workers and frontline staff will also be administered in Red Lake, and vaccinations to membership will be administered as more shipments come in.
