Situation Update for Friday, Feb. 5

The Minnesota Department of Health is reporting 1,054 new COVID-19 cases today and 22 new deaths, bringing the state’s case total to 466,224 and the death toll to 6,273.

Of all deaths, 3,960 were residents of long-term care or assisted living facilities. Of all cases, 36,872 were health care workers.

Today’s data comes after around 39,000 tests were completed yesterday. Over 3.296 million Minnesotans have been tested with 6.717 million tests completed.

Almost 451,000 of the state’s COVID patients no longer need isolation.

MDH is reporting eight new COVID-19 cases in Beltrami County today, four new cases in Cass County, two new cases in Clearwater County and one new case in Hubbard County.

Since the pandemic began, Beltrami County has had 3,241 cases and 48 deaths, Cass County has had 2,130 cases and 24 deaths, Clearwater County has had 695 cases and 14 deaths, and Hubbard County has had 1,556 cases and 39 deaths.
