Situation Update for Tuesday, Feb. 16

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 456 new COVID-19 cases today and two new COVID deaths, bringing the state’s case total to 474,621 cases and the death toll to 6,380.

Of all deaths, 4,016 were residents of long-term care or assisted living facilities. Of all cases, 37,272 were health care workers.

Today’s data comes after around 9,000 tests were completed on Presidents Day. Over 3.373 million Minnesotans have been tested, with nearly 7 million tests completed.

Over 461,000 of the state’s COVID patients no longer need isolation.

MDH reported one new COVID-19 case in Beltrami County today and two new cases in Hubbard County.

Since the pandemic began, Beltrami County has had 3,295 cases and 48 deaths, Cass County has had 2,148 cases and 24 deaths, Clearwater County has had 706 cases and 14 deaths, and Hubbard County has had 1,587 cases and 39 deaths.
