City Council and County Board to hold joint meeting

The Bemidji City Council will host a joint meeting with Beltrami County for the city’s first, fully in-person meeting in at least 14 months.

The two local bodies of government had not formally met together in two years, and the council has four new faces on it since then.

Agenda items include solid waste and recycling items, tax-forfeited parcels in the city, an update for the Bemidji Veterans Home, Kitchigami Regional Library, Airport Zoning, Birchmont Beach Road improvements, and the county’s jail project.

The last time the two bodies met, they discussed invasive species, tech support, waste management fee relief, out-of-home child placement, and the library.
