The White Earth Nation was recognized by People Magazine in its 100 Reasons to Love America listicle.
While Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, COVID-19 vaccines, and Dolly Parton made the top three, White Earth Nation made it to the list for doubling its minimum wage for tribal employees to $16 per hour, despite COVID-related disruptions.
White Earth Secretary-Treasurer Alan Roy said, “All credit is due to the hardworking men and women” of the White Earth Nation.
