BSU’s Tiny House now up for sale by auction

Bemidji State University’s multi-year tiny house project is now finished.

The eco-friendly, student-built project started in Fall 2017 after BSU’s TAD students developed tiny house design concepts.

After surveying BSU alumni to gather feedback on amenities, students began constructing under the guidance of Professor Tim Brockman.

BSU’s sustainability office consulted often to ensure the final product and building process were environmentally friendly.

The 206-square-foot home will be sold to the public by sealed bid starting at $50,000.

Bids will be accepted starting Aug. 9 with the winning bid announced Aug. 24. The sale will sponsor BSU student endowment funds.

All bids must include $5,000 in earnest funds and will be accepted on a rolling basis with the highest bids posted at www.TADTinyHouse.com every Friday. Bids should be mailed in a sealed envelope marked “2021 BSU Tiny House Bid” addressed to:
