UPDATED: Alleged gunfire report under investigation

Three were detained after alleged gunshots were fired within the city of Bemidji Wednesday.

Bemidji Police Captain David LaZella says officers responded to the 900 block of 26th St. NW on report of gunfire.

No evidence of gunshots were located at the time of the press release, but the investigation continues as law enforcement reviews surveillance footage from the area.

No injuries were reported.

Anyone with information about this case can contact the Bemidji Police Department or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers of Minnesota to possibly qualify for a reward of up to $1,000.

According to an updated release, two juveniles and one adult was arrested in connection with this incident.

Eighteen-year-old Brandon Tahahwah of Bemidji was arrested for reckless discharge of a firearm and for fleeing police on foot.

Both juveniles were arrested and are facing charges of reckless discharge of a firearm, ineligible person in possession of a firearm, and fleeing police on foot.

A search warrant was executed on the 2500 block of Ridgeway Ave. NW and collected evidence consistent with this incident.

The investigation is ongoing.
