Harbor Freight Tools store coming to Bemidji, hiring event today

Harbor Freight Tools will soon open a store in Bemidji.

According to a release, the retail store will be at the Paul Bunyan Mall.

Signage has been placed around the old Herberger’s store. Harbor Freight Tools calls itself “America’s go-to store for quality tools at the lowest prices,” and expects to bring 25 and 30 new jobs to the community, including supervisors and sales associates.

Rural Minnesota CEP is hosting a hiring event today from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at their location near Home Depot.

According to a notice from CEP, representatives from Harbor Freight will be on hand at the Westridge Center, 2300 24th St. NW Suite 106, to speak with prospective employees.

An official opening date has not yet been announced.

“We’ve been looking to open a location in Bemidji for a number of years so that we can provide the tools and equipment at tremendous values to the community,” said Trey Feiler, Senior Vice President, Real Estate and Construction for Harbor Freight Tools.

“In addition to finding a great location, we were attracted by the availability of great associates in the Bemidji area, and we look forward to having them join the Harbor Freight team.”
