Beltrami County Historical Society is one of 98 institutions in the country to participate in the Collections Assessment for Preservation Program.
According to a release, the CAP helps museums improve the care of their collections with conservation assessments of a museum’s collections and buildings.
A team of preservation professionals will work with staffers to identify preventive conservation priorities, with the final assessment report helping a museum prioritize its collections care efforts for years to come.
“A key component of our mission is preservation, safekeeping history for current and future generations”, says Executive Director Emily Thabes.
“CAP’s expert guidance will help us secure and develop our collection as an even more meaningful resource for our community and visitors.”
