The Becker County Sheriff’s Office identified the homeowner and victim of this fatal house fire as 47-year-old Wesley Stalboerger.
ORIGINAL STORY:
A house fire early Wednesday morning claimed the life of a Becker County resident.
According to a release from Chief Deputy Shane Richard, deputies responded to a call around 2 a.m. on Dec. 22 to a rural area west of Park Rapids.
By the time first responders arrived, the structure had already collapsed from the blaze.
At the time of the call, it was not known if the home was occupied.
A victim was subsequently found in the collapsed structure.
No further information was released and the Becker County Sheriff’s Office is continuing the investigation.
