County to hold public hearing on solid waste ordinance

The Beltrami County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on a new solid waste ordinance Tuesday, Nov. 5, at 5 p.m. in the County Administration Building’s Board Room.

According to a release from Administrator Kay Mack, the ordinance is a combination of two old ones, and addresses the updates of the county taking over operations at the transfer station in January.

The ordinance governs how the county handles household and commercial waste, recycling, building debris and other waste, and how the county covers those costs.

The proposed ordinance is available for viewing on the county’s website.
