Minnesotans who are not eligible to vote may now participate in the DFL Party’s caucus and convention process.

Minnesotans who are Dreamers, non-citizen immigrants and ex-felons may attend precinct caucuses, run to be delegates for future conventions, vote on endorsements, run for party leadership positions and introduce resolutions to the DFL Party platforms and agendas.

The DFL won a lawsuit in which they challenged a state statute that restricted caucus participation to eligible voters only.

Midterm caucuses for both the GOP and DFL are scheduled at 7 p.m. on Feb. 1 across the state.

In Beltrami County, Republicans will gather at Bemidji High School, and the Democrats will hold theirs at the Bemidji Middle School.
