The Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs says construction for the Bemidji Veterans Home is on schedule.
The new home will be on the 900 block of Anne Street on 15 acres donated by Sanford Health, next door to the grounds of the Sanford campus.
The home will be able to accommodate veteran residents with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease in the Memory Care unit.
A groundbreaking event was held last August, and the home is scheduled to be open in summer 2023.
The MDVA plans to begin accepting resident applications this September.
