A Laporte man is facing drug charges after being caught with large quantities of cocaine and psilocybin mushrooms.
The criminal complaint says the Paul Bunyan Drug Task Force executed a search warrant on 20-year-old Nicholas Bialke last month.
Officers found 766 grams of cocaine and 104 grams of psychedelic mushrooms inside the home on Highway 71, as well as a 9mm handgun underneath the bed.
Around $2,600 was found in Bialke’s car.
Bialke has numerous pending charges in Hubbard and Clearwater counties, including fifth-degree drug possession, DWI, and first-degree burglary.
The pending burglary charge makes Bialke ineligible to possess a firearm.
Bialke will make his next court appearance in June.
