Headwaters Music & Arts will host Bemidji Reads! a series of events featuring author Amy Bass and her book One Goal — A Coach, a Team and a Game that Brought a Divdied Town Together.
Beginning May 16, several dozen free copies of the book will be available at the Bemidji Library.
Bass is set to June 17 at events sponsored, beginning with a craft lecture and discussion of sports writing at Headwaters Music & Arts at 10 a.m.
Bass will also present a reading and discussion of her book at 7 p.m. at Bemidji Community Theater.
Both events are free and open to everyone.
Bass is a frequent contributor for CNN and has covered several Olympic Games for NBC, winning an Emmy in 2012.
One Goal was named Best Book of 2018 by the Boston Globe and Library Journal.
