The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to from Friday, May 13, through Sunday, May 15.

BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT

SUNDAY, MAY 15

Suspicious, 11:47 p.m.

Report of a male attempting to get into an apartment on the 2800 block of Ridgeway Ave. NW. Male arrested on a warrant.

Assault, 8:34 p.m.

Welfare check on Lincoln Ave. SE. One arrested for domestic assault.

Theft, 2:29 p.m.

Theft from vehicle reported on Minnesota Ave. NW.

Property Damage, 1:39 p.m.

Report of property damage was unfounded after the vehicle was washed. No action taken on the 1700 block of 15th St. NW.

DWI, 2:39 a.m.

Traffic stop on the 2400 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Adult female placed under arrest for multiple violations.

DWI, 1:27 a.m.

Traffic stop on Norton Ave. and Northern Cedar Ave. NW. Juvenile driver arrested.

DWI, 1:14 a.m.

Traffic stop on the 500 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. S. One arrested for DWI.

SATURDAY, MAY 14

Disorderly Conduct, 10:16 p.m.

Adult female placed under arrest for an outstanding warrant on the 2500 block of Itasca Loop NW.

Suspicious, 10:09 p.m.

Suspicious person on the 200 block of 10th St. NE. One arrested.

DWI, 9:28 p.m.

Driver arrested for DWI on the 400 block of Bemidji Ave. N.

Disorderly Conduct, 9:01 p.m.

Juveniles thought it would be funny to tie swings to upper cross beam on the 300 block of Bemidji Ave. N. Officer watched juveniles untie swings, allowing them to be used appropriately.

Disorderly Conduct, 7:51 p.m.

Officer checked the area for the report of a group of children throwing rocks at things on the 1100 block of Event Center Dr. NE. The children were not located.

DWI, 6:19 p.m.

Traffic stop on Mississippi Ave. and 11th St. NW. Driver arrested.

Missing Person, 1:19 p.m.

Toddler found outside of home on the 2500 block of Ridgeway Ave. NW. Toddler returned to home.

Traffic Stop, 3:14 a.m.

Traffic stop on the 2800 block of Hannah Ave. NW. Female driver placed under arrest for DWI.

Weapons Offenses, 3:07 a.m.

Officers responded to the area for the report of a possible gun shot on the 3300 block of Cedar Ln. NW. No signs of distress were located.

DWI, 2:10 a.m.

Traffic stop on Beltrami Ave. and 14th St. NW. Driver arrested.

Traffic Stop, 1:50 a.m.

Traffic stop on Minnesota Ave. and 3rd ST. NW. One arrested for DANCO violation.

FRIDAY, MAY 13

Theft, 11:08 p.m.

Female individual placed under arrest for theft and local warrant on the 2000 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW.

Theft, 10:28 p.m.

Officers responded to the report of two adult shoplifters on the 2000 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Both subjects were placed under arrest.

Weapons Offenses, 10:14 p.m.

Officers checked the area of the 1600 block of Birch Ln. NE for the report of a possible gun shot. No signs of distress were located.

Suspicious, 7:31 p.m.

Adult male placed under arrest for an outstanding warrant on the 4000 block of Supreme Ct. NW.

Theft, 4:39 p.m.

Officer responded to Walmart for a report of theft. Two arrested on multiple charges.

Missing Person, 7:12 a.m.

Three-year-old male walked to Arco on the 400 block of Bemidji Ave. N. He was returned home.

DWI, 2:12 a.m.

Traffic stop on the 8000 block of Irvine Ave. NW. One arrested for DWI.

Suspicious, 1:05 a.m.

Officer responded to the report of a male knocking on windows at a local apartment complex on the 2500 block of Minnesota Ave. NW. It was determined that the male had accidentally locked himself out of the building.

BELTRAMI COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

SUNDAY, MAY 15

Assault, 11:10 p.m.

Report of a fight on Kappes Ln. SE in Cass Lake. Male arrested for domestic assault.

Fire, 2:16 p.m.

Report of a grass fire on the 1300 block of Larkspur Ln. SE in Cass Lake. Leech Lake game wardens and Cass fire responded.

Littering, 1:51 p.m.

Report of dead goat carcasses at a lake access on the 25500 block of Pimushe Access NE. Forwarded to Beltrami County Waste Management.

Assist, 12:17 a.m.

One arrested on Highway 71 and Highway 2 NW.

SATURDAY, MAY 14

911, 8:35 p.m.

Report of a 911 misdial on the 9600 block of N. Grace Lake Rd. SE. Deputy made contact with caller, accidental dial while fishing. No emergency assistance needed.

Burglary, 2:08 p.m.

Deputy took a report of a possible burglary on the 66500 block of Highway 89 NW in Grygla.

Assist, 4:37 a.m.

Assisted Becker County Sheriff’s Office with recovering a stolen vehicle on Co. 23 and Clearline Rd. NW. One arrested.

FRIDAY, MAY 13

Animal, 11:38 p.m.

Report of a bear in a cabin on the 55700 block of Highway 72 NE in Waskish. Bear left prior to law enforcement arrival.

Weapons Offenses, 11:14 p.m.

Two sets of 5-6 loud bangs on the 2900 block of Madison Ave. SW. Gone on arrival.

Boat, 10:13 p.m.

Boat floated away in the wind near the 15400 block of Jessie Ct. NW. Owners will tow back tomorrow.

Theft, 5:44 p.m.

Phone dropped from moving vehicle on the 200 block of Spirit Ave. NW in Wilton.

Fire, 12:00 p.m.

Deputies advised of a downed power line that started a brush fire on the 13600 block of Power Dam Rd. NE. Bemidji Fire Department and Beltrami Electric responded. No law enforcement action taken.
